Three students from the Faculty of Economics of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang were selected to participate in a student exchange program at SciencePo University, Paris, France. The three students are Zainal Abidin from the Sharia Banking Study Program, Zafira Putri Novitasari from the Accounting Study Program, and Nur Muhammad Abdillah from the Management Study Program. The program lasted for 14 days and aimed to provide a hands-on learning experience at one of the prestigious universities in France.
During the program, students will participate in various academic and cultural activities, such as Academic Writing Training, a Short Course at SciencePo, the Indonesian Cultural Exhibition, and visits to several cultural places in Paris. This student exchange program is funded by UIN Maliki Malang through the PMU and is supported by independent funds.
Dr. Indah Yuliana, M.M. Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation expressed her hope for students participating in this program. According to Dr. Indah, this program not only focuses on academic knowledge but also provides opportunities for students to adapt to life abroad, especially with a different education system and culture. “This is a different learning opportunity because this kind of experience cannot be obtained if it is only done virtually,” said Dr. Indah.
She also hoped that the three students could follow the lessons well and maintain their health while in Paris. “Hopefully they can follow the learning as well as possible and always be healthy until they return to their homeland,” she added. This program is expected to increase the international competence and insight of students in the Faculty of Economics of UIN Maliki Malang.
